You might be wondering …
Here are some common questions people ask before starting coaching.
About Coaching
-
Each session is designed to be a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can slow down and talk honestly about what’s going on in your life. Many of my clients are used to being the one who holds everything together for everyone else, so having a space where you can be fully heard, understood, and supported can feel both relieving and grounding.
My coaching approach blends thoughtful conversation with practical tools. I help you notice patterns, understand the origins of the pressure to be perfect, and reconnect with what you actually want — often for the first time in a long time. Together, we explore what’s beneath the overthinking, anxiety, people-pleasing, or self-doubt so you can begin making decisions that feel more aligned with who you are.
In every session, my intention is that you leave with something meaningful — whether that’s a new insight, a shift in perspective, or a practical step you can take in your everyday life.
You can expect honesty, empathy, and professionalism, along with the steady presence of someone who truly believes in your ability to grow and create positive change.
Over time, coaching helps you build clarity, confidence, and self-trust so you can stop living for everyone else’s expectations and start building a life that genuinely feels like yours.

Anything that’s weighing on you or making life feel more complicated than it needs to be.
Many of my clients come to coaching feeling stuck between what they “should” do (based on what they believe to be others’ expectations) and what they actually want to do. We often talk about things like people-pleasing, decision-making, career uncertainty, relationships, boundaries, overthinking, burnout, anxiety, and the pressure to be perfect.
Sometimes the goal is solving a specific problem. Other times it’s simply creating space to reflect and reconnect with yourself. Both are equally valuable, but the direction of our conversations will ultimately be up to you to ensure you are getting what you need most out of our time.

Both coaching and therapy support mental and emotional wellbeing, but they have different approaches and goals.
Therapy is a clinical service provided by licensed professionals who diagnose and treat mental health conditions, often exploring past experiences and trauma in depth that may still affect the present.
Coaching is more skills-based and is designed for those ready to create change in the present and future. It helps you build the mindset and emotional skills that lead to greater self-awareness, groundedness, confidence, and fulfillment.
Many people benefit from coaching on its own, while others find it helpful alongside therapy. If you’re ever unsure which kind of support is best for you, we can talk through that together during a consultation, or you can check out my blog post, which addresses this more in depth.
Is This Right for Me?
-
Many people I work with reach out during a moment where something in their life has reached a breaking point or just isn’t working anymore — even if, from the outside, everything looks “right.”
You might notice that:
You feel exhausted from constantly trying to meet everyone else’s expectations
The path you thought you were supposed to follow (career, relationship, lifestyle) no longer feels aligned or makes you happy
You’ve tried to make changes before, but the guilt or fear of disappointing others pulled you back
You’re starting to resent people you care about, and that makes you feel even worse
You’ve realized that not knowing what you actually want in life feels less like a personality trait and more like a real turning point
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not broken or behind — you may simply be at a point where it’s time to reconnect with yourself.
Coaching can help you slow down, sort through the pressure you’ve been carrying, and begin building a life that feels more honest and sustainable for you.

Not at all. In fact, most people begin this process because they don’t have things fully figured out.
Many of my clients feel stuck between who they’ve always thought they were and who they’re starting to realize they might want to become. When you've spent years focusing on meeting expectations, being responsible, or making others proud, it can be surprisingly difficult to identify your own wants and needs.
This work helps you reconnect with your own inner voice so that your choices start coming from clarity rather than pressure.
Coaching isn’t about having everything sorted out before you start — it’s about giving yourself the space and support to figure things out along the way.
-
Absolutely not! This isn't about rejecting your parents or loved ones, or becoming someone you're not. It's about learning to honor both your love for them and your own needs, desires, and truth. You can have a strong and healthy relationship with those closest to you and live a life that's yours.
Disappointing others is one of the most common fears people bring into this work.
For many people, the idea of choosing their own path comes with intense guilt, anxiety, or the fear of hurting people they love. Those feelings can make even small decisions feel overwhelming.
Together, we’ll work through those fears so you can make decisions that are aligned with who you are, without feeling like you’re betraying those who matter most to you.
-
That’s incredibly normal! Change often brings up fear, guilt, or uncertainty, especially if you’re used to being the responsible one or the person who keeps everything running smoothly for others.
I’m not going to push you into big, overwhelming decisions. Instead, we focus on building clarity, confidence, and emotional steadiness and resilience so you can make choices that feel thoughtful and aligned with who you are. This will often look like very small steps to help you strengthen your sense of self-trust and build momentum without doing anything drastic.
The goal isn’t to rush change. It’s to help you feel prepared enough to handle it anytime it comes.
-
The people I work with are usually thoughtful, responsible, ambitious, and deeply caring.
They’re often the “good kid” in their family or friend group — the one who follows the rules, achieves what is expected, and tries to make everyone proud.
From the outside, their life may look successful or put together. But internally, they feel stuck, conflicted, or disconnected from themselves.
If you’ve spent years being who you thought you were “supposed” to be and now you’re wondering who you actually are, you and I are likely a great fit.

Many clients choose to start with weekly sessions to build momentum. During our consultation call or first session, we’ll decide together what cadence feels most supportive for you. Some people benefit from weekly sessions, while others prefer every other week or once a month. It’s also common for sessions to become more spaced out as you begin to feel more confident applying what we’ve worked on.
It’s common to start noticing meaningful shifts within the first few sessions as we begin exploring your typical thought and emotional patterns around perfectionism, people-pleasing, and self-doubt in a new way.
There’s no fixed timeline for coaching; it’s highly individual and depends on where you’re starting and what you want to work toward. Lasting change takes time, self-compassion, and consistency. Along the way, we’ll check in regularly about your progress so you can decide when it feels right to slow down or wrap up our work together.

All sessions are held virtually, most commonly via Google Meet video call. However, I understand the importance of being flexible and accessible, so FaceTime or a regular phone call are options, too. We’ll decide together what feels best for you.
Still wondering if this work is right for you?
If you’re feeling the pull toward change but aren’t sure where to start, the best next step is a conversation.
I offer a free consultation where we can talk about what’s been weighing on you, what you’re hoping will change, and whether working together feels like the right fit.
There’s no pressure or expectation — just a chance to explore what support could look like.
